As far back as I can remember, I was always interested in health and fitness. I was a young, skinny kid and I didn’t have a clue what I was doing. I used to train with dumbbells and a punchbag in my room and did hundreds of sit-ups every day.
I first stepped foot in a gym when I was 13 years old, but it wasn’t until years later that I to take it more seriously.
When I started to lift weights regularly in my early 20s, not much had changed:
I still didn’t have a clue.
I started observing guys in the gym – the ones who had the best physiques. I watched how they trained, asked them about their routines and nutrition, and I even befriended a few and trained together with them.
In the early years in the gym, slowly, but surely I made progress. However, I knew I was still leaving money on the table – I wanted to become the best possible version of myself.
I was training hard, but I wasn’t paying much attention to my diet or even for that matter my health…
